Maligne LakeCanada in July 2006. This was originally a colour image, but many people commenting on shots in my other photoblog (http://chunter.shutterchance.com) suggest converting to black and white. For some reason, they seem to like it.
So I've had a go and I must say that this, and some others that I've done, do have an Ansell Adamsian feel to them, although I wouldn't wish to suggest they were anywhere near in his class.
Our Canadian trip this year began in Calgary during Stampede week when everyone is a coboy (or cowgirl) and dresses accordingly in hats, boots and jeans at the very least. Others look like Roy Rogers.
After the fast and furious events in the Stampede Ground - namely the chuck wagon races, the rodeo, bull riding, roping, barrel racing and evening stage show with fireworks - we set of on our pre-arranged tour of the National Parks of Jasper and Banff before spending a few days on a dude ranch, The Homeplace Ranch, at Priddis. A few more days based at Lethbridge and then home.
